How are the holidays calculated?
All the holidays are calculated using algorithms. The most complex algorithm used, is calculating Easter.

Why did you create www.dayweekyear.com?
Dayweekyear.com started in 2006, because I was tired of never knowing when floating holidays occurred or which week number it was.
The first PDF photo calendar (Now known as the old calendar) was created six month later, as an experiment and quickly became popular.
Afterwards new designs and looks were added.
The moon phase calendar came in the beginning of 2007 and had a new version added, with sun rises and sun sets.
New features will be added to the site, thanks to suggestions from Anders Søgaard Møller og Teddy Brogaard.

The pictures are taken by Anders Søgaard Møller and Henrik Hansen. The icons were created by Ulrich Rutkjær Jensen.

Yes, there are no plans about accepting payment for services at www.dayweekyear.com
There are also no plans for forcing people to create an account. We hate seeing a promising site and
then have to create a user to get the information we need.

Is everything done by yourself?
No, the menu are taken from [ CSS Play ] a site which have everything in CSS menu's and worth a visit.

What happened to the htmlescape Java class for downloading?
The HtmlEscape Java class have moved to www.htmlescape.net and htmlescape.net contains
the downloadable Java class, online html escape tool for escaping html entities and a downloadable Javascript file
